Yoga Classes for all Children:

Effective tool for improving and maintaining memory and  concentration skills needed for academics. Through breath awareness, children learn to imagine a special place in their minds resulting in their ability to calm and relax their bodies. Helps to build greater self-esteem and confidence.

Effective therapy for conditions such as Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities such as autism.

 
Because yoga works on so many different levels, everyone gains some level of benefits. The only requirements are proper instruction and regular practice.
 

Example of Bird Pose:

  • Children stand with their spine straight and tall, legs together.

  • Have children rise up their heels so that they are standing on the balls of their feet.

  • Have children open their arms like wings and make sound like a bird.

If needed this pose can be modified for children with motor difficulties and can be done from a seated position.
